To support the people of the region and the workers affected by the floods, Ducati has donated a large sum of money to the Preteczione Civile of Emilia-Romagna. And that’s not all.
Born and raised in the Borgo Panigale district of Bologna and deeply rooted in the entire regional territory of the famous Motor Valley of Emilia-Romagna, Ducati wanted to take action for its region.
The Italian manufacturer has decided to participate in the “Un aiuto per l’Emilia-Romagna” campaign by making a donation of 200,000 euros to the Protezione Civile of the region, which will use the funds received to help the people and communities support those affected by the floods.
Like one big family, Ducati also supports all its employees who, after damage or inconvenience, need time to resolve the calamity, whereby the hours of absence are recognized as working hours in all respects and are therefore paid.
In addition, the trade union representatives and the employees have taken action to donate an hour of their salary: the proceeds will be doubled by the company, again to support the affected people and communities in the Region.
“Witnessing what happened in our region over the past week has been a blow to the heart for all of us. Ducati is strongly rooted in the Emilia-Romagna area, starting with the city of Bologna where we were born and where we are active up to the entire Motor Valley and the Romagna Riders Land.
For us, this is our home, and we felt the need to find a way to help by donating 200,000 euros to support the regional Protezione Civile who are currently coordinating, together with the competent authorities, the operations in the many affected cities.
The trade union representatives also organize an hour’s salary in solidarity with the employees. A gesture that says so much about that spirit of humanity and cooperation that identifies the inhabitants of this extraordinary territory that is Emilia-Romagna.”
