The UK government is set to announce plans of increasing gas bills as part of efforts to provide cheaper electricity and increase gas prices over the next 15 years.

Ahead of next month’s COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, ministers will announce plans to increase gas bills by £159 next week, despite rising energy costs.
